The Ukrainian Pavilion at the Commercial UAV Expo 2024 is set to host a series of special events that will highlight the latest advancements and collaborative efforts in the drone industry. These events will provide attendees with unique insights into Ukraine's technological innovations and their practical applications across various sectors. In addition to the Ukrainian Pavilion itself as an exhibition area, where visitors can get acquainted with technologies and join partnerships with Ukrainian businesses, the Ukrainian Pavilion delegation will participate in two key events and form two additional activities.
Event Highlights:
- Official Opening Ceremony of the Ukrainian Pavilion: The ceremony will set the stage for a series of insightful discussions and networking opportunities, celebrating the achievements of Ukrainian technology and its impact on the global stage.
- Panel Discussion: Fleet of Millions: Ukraine's Secrets to Mass Drone Production: This panel, scheduled for Thursday, September 5, from 11:00 to 11:45, will delve into the strategies and innovations that have positioned Ukraine as a leader in drone manufacturing. This presentation will explore the Ukrainian drone ecosystem's evolution over the past two and a half years, highlighting the state's direct participation and the vision of individual enterprises in localizing the production of certain components to build million-strong drone fleets. This discussion will also focus on the potential for partnerships and localization of drone and other robotics production in the USA.
- Roundtable Discussion on Agricultural Drones: Organized by industry leaders John Deere and DroneUA, this session will explore the transformative impact of drones on modern agriculture, discussing best practices and future trends. Moderated by Valerii Iakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA and Chair of the Agricultural Committee of the Pennsylvania Drone Association, and Ashley Hanson, the Unmanned Aviation Systems Manager at John Deere and Advisory Board member at Commercial UAV Expo, the discussion will cover how drones change approaches to agribusiness, ensure sustainability of agricultural production, save water, reduce the carbon footprint and the use of fuel and lubricants, and reduce the amount of pesticides used, positively affecting ecology.
The Ukrainian Pavilion will also emphasize the crucial role of drone technologies in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts. Utilizing drones and other robotics for innovative and efficient civilian applications is vital for the country's restoration. The Pavilion seeks to forge partnerships with Western, particularly American, companies to create collaborations for future reconstruction.
Additionally, Ukraine's position as an agrarian state and a global granary will be highlighted. The country produces one of the largest amounts of calories for global markets and is the world's No. 1 exporter of sunflower oil. The active use of drone technologies in agriculture allows Ukraine to achieve up to a 10% increase in yield for certain crops, thanks to the efficiency of spraying drones. This experience will be shared during the roundtable discussion on agricultural drones.
These special events at the Ukrainian Pavilion will not only showcase cutting-edge technologies but also foster meaningful conversations on the future of the UAS industry.
